Product Overview
Silicone semi-finished tube is continuously extruded silicone tubing with primary vulcanization only. It is supplied in rolls or long straight lengths without secondary processing. Customers can further cut, punch, bond, post-cure or assemble the tube into finished parts such as sleeves and fluid conduits. It differs from finished silicone tubes which are pre-cut, cleaned and packaged for direct end use.
Manufacturing Process
- Mix raw silicone compound with curing agent, color masterbatch and functional fillers
- Extrude into hollow tube profile
- Primary continuous vulcanization by hot air or steam
- Online dimension inspection
- Winding into rolls or long stock bars for semi-finished delivery
Subsequent operations: cutting, slitting, punching, bonding, post-curing, surface treatment and assembly to be completed by customers.
