    FKM, short for fluoroelastomer, is a family of high-performance synthetic rubbers renowned for their exceptional resistance to extreme temperatures, harsh chemicals, and aggressive environmental conditions. Characterized by a molecular structure containing fluorine atoms, FKM materials are engineered to deliver reliability in demanding industrial applications where standard elastomers (such as nitrile or EPDM) would fail.

    FKM exhibits remarkable thermal stability, operating effectively across a wide range: typically from -20°C to 200°C (-4°F to 392°F). Specialized formulations can extend this range, with some grades tolerating short-term exposure to temperatures as high as 260°C (500°F) or as low as -40°C (-40°F), making them suitable for both high-heat and moderately cold environments.
