1. Description
HNBR, or Hydrogenated Nitrile Butadiene Rubber, is a high-performance elastomer derived from nitrile rubber (NBR) through a hydrogenation process that reduces unsaturation in its polymer structure. This modification enhances its thermal stability, chemical resistance, and mechanical strength, making it a versatile material for demanding industrial applications where standard NBR or other elastomers may lack durability.
2. Chemical & Media Resistance
✅ Excellent Resistance: Mineral oil, diesel, gasoline, lubricating oil, hydraulic oil, grease, water, aqueous solution, common hydraulic fluids ❌ Poor Resistance: High temperature steam, strong acid & strong alkali, ketones, esters, aromatic solvents, ozone, weather aging (outdoor use not recommended)
3. Size & Tolerance Specification
-
Shape: Standard hollow cylindrical rubber billet
-
Dimensions: Standard stock OD/ID sizes, custom sizes available; 0.3~1mm single-side machining allowance reserved
-
Color: Black
-
Tolerance: OD ±0.2~0.4mm (unprocessed billet)
-
Standard Length: 120mm, 150mm
-
Surface: Smooth vulcanized surface, no bubbles, no cracks, no impurities
4. Manufacturing & Processing Method
NBR compound mixing → hollow tube extrusion → high-temperature full vulcanization → fixed-length cutting → finished semi-finished tube. End users can directly process various non-standard and standard seals through CNC lathe turning, which saves mold opening cost and is efficient for small-batch and multi-specification production.
5. Application Scenarios
-
General hydraulic and pneumatic equipment seals (O-rings, U-seals, wiper seals, gaskets)
-
Automotive conventional parts: engine oil seals, chassis oil-resistant seals
-
Mechanical equipment, bearings, pumps and valves oil-resistant sealing
-
Household appliances, electronic equipment conventional sealing parts
-
Food and beverage equipment (FDA grade NBR tube)
