NBR (Nitrile Butadiene Rubber): A copolymer of acrylonitrile and butadiene, valued for its excellent resistance to mineral oils, fuels, and greases. Its temperature range typically spans from -40°C to 120°C (with short-term tolerance up to 150°C). The acrylonitrile content influences its properties—higher levels enhance oil resistance but reduce low-temperature flexibility. NBR is commonly used in fuel system seals, hydraulic hoses, and O-rings for its cost-effectiveness and reliable performance in oil-based environments, though it has limited resistance to ozone, sunlight, and aromatic solvents.
