The secondary vulcanization process of sealing ring mainly includes preparation, setting temperature, heating, insulation, cooling and taking out inspection steps. The following is the detailed process description:
First, the preparation stage
Cleaning and treatment: The initial vulcanized rubber sealing ring is cleaned and treated to remove impurities and dirt on the surface to ensure that the rubber sealing ring can be evenly heated during the vulcanization process.
Load into the vulcanization mold: load the treated rubber sealing ring into the vulcanization mold to ensure that the sealing ring is in the correct position in the mold to avoid deformation during the vulcanization process.
According to the material and performance requirements of rubber sealing ring, set the temperature of secondary vulcanization. Usually, the temperature of the secondary vulcanization will be slightly higher than the temperature of the primary vulcanization, but it needs to be within the range that the rubber seal can withstand. The choice of temperature is very important for the degree of vulcanization and product quality.
Third, the heating stage
Place the vulcanization mold and rubber seal in the oven or vulcanization tank and heat to the set temperature. During the heating process, ensure that the temperature is evenly distributed to avoid deformation or damage to the rubber sealing ring caused by local overheating. At the same time, the heating speed also needs to be controlled within a certain range to avoid too fast or too slow heating speed on the vulcanization effect.
Fourth, insulation stage
It is held at a set temperature for a period of time, usually a few hours, to ensure that the vulcanization reaction is fully carried out. During the heat preservation process, the temperature needs to be continuously monitored to ensure that the temperature is kept within the set range. At the same time, it is also necessary to pay attention to the change of the rubber sealing ring, and find and deal with abnormal situations in time.
Fifth, the cooling stage
After the vulcanization is completed, the temperature is gradually lowered so that the rubber seal is slowly cooled to room temperature. During the cooling process, it is necessary to avoid the internal stress or deformation of the rubber seal caused by sharp temperature changes. Generally, the cooling speed should be controlled within a certain range to ensure that the rubber seal can smoothly transition to room temperature.
Remove the product: Remove the cooled rubber seal from the vulcanization mold and oven or vulcanization tank.
Inspection quality: The physical and chemical properties of the rubber seal ring are tested to ensure that the effect of secondary vulcanization meets the expectations. The test contents include hardness, tensile strength, resilience, dimensional stability, etc.
Temperature and time control: The temperature and time of secondary vulcanization need to be adjusted according to the material and performance requirements of the rubber sealing ring. Too high a temperature or too long a time may damage the properties of the rubber and require strict control.
Uniform heating: In the secondary vulcanization process, it should be ensured that the rubber sealing ring is uniformly heated to avoid local overheating leading to product performance degradation or damage.
Equipment maintenance: Regular maintenance and maintenance of vulcanization equipment to ensure that the equipment is in good condition to improve vulcanization efficiency and product quality.
The secondary vulcanization process of rubber seals is a complex and fine process, which requires strict control of the parameters and conditions of each link to ensure that product quality and performance meet the expected requirements.
