    1. Product Description
    Bronze filled PTFE semi-finished tube is sintered composite tube blank compounded by PTFE matrix and bronze powder (40% / 60% bronze by weight).
    This rigid semi-finished material is ready for CNC turning, milling and precision machining to produce guide rings, piston rings, sleeve bearings, thrust washers and wear-resistant sealing components.
    It features ultra-low friction, self-lubrication, excellent wear resistance, high compressive strength and great thermal conductivity. Widely used in high-load, high-speed hydraulic & pneumatic systems under wide temperature range. Custom OD, ID, length and bronze filling ratio available.
    2. Key Material Properties
    ✅ Advantages
    • Self-lubricating, low coefficient of friction, effectively avoid stick-slip
    • Excellent wear resistance under high pressure & reciprocating motion
    • High compressive strength, low creep / cold flow
    • Wide operating temperature range: -180℃ ~ +240℃

    ❌ Limitations
    • Rigid material, no rubber elasticity (Cannot be used as elastic sealing like NBR)
    • Poor resistance to strong oxidizing acid (concentrated nitric acid etc.)
    • Bronze filler may corrode under long-term acidic aqueous environment
    • Not suitable for high voltage insulation applications

    A: Standard 40% bronze filled PTFE; 60% bronze grade for higher load and better thermal conductivity.
    Q2: Is bronze filled PTFE elastic like NBR rubber?
    A: No. Bronze filled PTFE is rigid plastic without elasticity. It applies to wear-resistant guide components. If you need elastic sealing parts, choose NBR semi-finished tube.
    Q3: Do I need sintering after machining?
    A: No. The tube is fully sintered semi-finished blank, can be machined directly.
    Q4: Can this material work dry without lubrication?
    A: Yes, inherent self-lubrication property allows dry running conditions.
    Q5: What’s the difference between bronze filled PTFE and virgin PTFE tube?
    A: Bronze filled grade has far better anti-creep, compressive strength and heat dissipation; pure PTFE is easy to deform under heavy load.
