Product description:
Split Oil Seal is a high-performance split-type sealing component, mainly classified as an industrial oil seal and also applicable to commercial vehicles and special vehicles. It is precision-engineered with high-quality materials (NBR, FKM, PU, FFKM) to solve the pain points of difficult installation and replacement of traditional solid oil seals.

    1. Structure and Principle

    • Composition: Rubber main body (NBR/FKM/PU) + split metal skeleton + spring (Z-shaped/wave-shaped, openable).
    • Split Design: Usually two halves, with beveled or stepped joints, and positioning buckles/pins to prevent misalignment.
    • Sealing Principle: The lip forms an oil film with the shaft to prevent leakage; the spring provides continuous clamping force to compensate for shaft eccentricity/vibration.

    2. Core Advantages (Compared with Traditional Integral Oil Seals)

    • Shaft-free Disassembly Installation: No need to disassemble the coupling or bearing housing, directly wrap around the shaft on site.
    • Quick Replacement: Installation takes only a few minutes; the traditional method may require several days of downtime.
    • Cost Reduction and Efficiency Improvement: Reduce labor, hoisting and production stop losses, suitable for large/heavy equipment.

    3. Common Materials and Working Conditions

    • NBR (Nitrile Rubber): -40℃~+100℃, ≤8 m/s, suitable for general lubricating oil/hydraulic oil.
    • FKM (Fluoro Rubber): -20℃~+200℃, ≤20 m/s, suitable for high temperature, oil resistance and chemical resistance.
    • PU (Polyurethane): Wear-resistant, suitable for dust/low-speed and heavy-load conditions.

    4. Typical Application Scenarios

    • Metallurgy: Continuous caster idlers, sintering crushers, rolling mill bearing housings.
    • Wind Power: Gearbox input/output shafts (no need to disassemble 100-ton transmission chain).
    • Papermaking: Dryer bearings, press rolls (steam/wet environment).
    • Mining: Ball mill, crusher main bearings (dust/heavy load).
    • Marine: Propeller shafts, steering gears (quick replacement in dock).
    • General: Reducers, blowers, cranes, air compressors.

    5. Brief Installation Steps

    1. Clean the shaft surface, remove the old oil seal, burrs and rust.
    2. Stretch the split oil seal, wrap it around the shaft, and align the cut.
    3. Fasten the positioning buckles/pins to ensure no misalignment.
    4. Push it into the seal cavity, check that the lip is not turned over and the spring is in place.

    6. Model Examples (for Reference)

    • DS866B: NBR, ≤100℃, ≤8 m/s.
    • DS866F: FKM, ≤200℃, ≤20 m/s.
    • R-Split/VR-Split: Full rubber + stainless steel spring, metric/imperial.
