Official Name: Guide Strip
Common Aliases: Wear Strip, Guide Tape, Guide Ring Strip
Function Positioning: A non-sealing component for axial guiding and lateral load bearing of hydraulic/pneumatic cylinders during reciprocating motion. Supplied in roll form for on-site cutting and installation into grooves to form integral guide rings.

4.2 Cutting Length Calculation Formula
- For Piston Guide Strip

Recommended gap G: 0.3~0.5mm, flat butt joint without overlapping.
4.3 Groove Design Rules
- Rod guide strip width ≥ 0.2 × Rod Diameter
- Piston guide strip width ≥ 0.1 × Piston Diameter
- Avoid excessive width (no larger than cylinder diameter); strip thickness ≥ 4× groove depth to guarantee supporting rigidity.
5. Installation Instructions
- Chamfer and deburr all groove edges; sharp corners will tear the guide strip.
- Coat hydraulic oil on grooves and guide strips for lubrication before assembly.
- Place the strip split joint away from the maximum lateral force bearing area of the cylinder.
- Do not twist or stretch the guide strip forcibly during installation.
- Adopt 30° diagonal cut for large-diameter cylinders for easier assembly.
