Product description:
The AM wiper seal, is also called GA, serves to prevent ingress of dust, dirt, sand and swarf. This is achieved by its special design which largely prevents scoring, protects the guiding parts and extends the service life of the seals. An oversized diameter ensures interference fit in the groove recess, thus preventing ingress of foreign particles at the wiper’s outer diameter. The wiper ring of the AM product series can simply be press-fit into the cylinder liner and requires no special retention rings.

    AM‑series wiper is single‑acting press‑fit dust wiper with integrated metal reinforcement frame. It is installed on piston‑rod side of hydraulic / pneumatic cylinders. Its main function is scraping dust, sand, mud, metal swarf and other contaminants off piston‑rod surface during rod retraction, preventing foreign particles entering inside cylinder, protecting rod surface against scoring and abrasion, and extending service life of inner rod seals & piston seals.
    Oversized outer‑diameter provides reliable interference fit inside housing bore, blocking contaminants from penetrating through OD clearance. Non‑pressure‑bearing component (0 bar only), cannot work as pressure seal.

    5. Installation Guidelines

    1. Housing groove must strictly follow ISO 6195‑B DH8 tolerance requirement. Remove burrs, sharp edges before assembly; housing chamfer 20‑30° is required for smooth pressing‑in.
    2. Apply compatible lubricant on wiper OD and lip before installation.
    3. Force must apply evenly on metal shell only. Never strike or press wiper lip directly. Avoid frame distortion.
    4. Wiper lip faces outward (towards atmosphere side).
    5. Keep assembly environment clean, avoid metal chips scratching sealing lip.

    6. Typical Application Scenarios

    Mobile machinery, construction machinery, agricultural machinery, forklifts, hydraulic presses, metallurgical equipment, general‑industry hydraulic cylinders, cylinder repair & maintenance service.

    7. Important Notice

    1. This is dust wiper only, cannot bear system working pressure. Must match corresponding rod seal set inside cylinder.
    2. Please do NOT confuse with Hydrapac‑AM anti‑extrusion backup ring; they are totally different products.
    3. Temperature and speed figures are maximum values; cannot reach all limits simultaneously. Real performance depends on media, surface quality and working cycles.
