The O-Ring guarantees the pre-lading of the seal lips, even under low pressures or vacuum. Due to the good setting behavior of the elastomer O-ring, this pre-loading is largely constant. As system pressure increases, compression of the sealing edges rises due to the pressure-dependent deformation of the seal profile.
