1.Industry pain point
In heavy-duty hydraulic systems such as excavators, metallurgical presses and large injection molding machines, ordinary rubber seals are prone to extrusion deformation, edge chipping and premature leakage under high pressure above 35MPa, bringing frequent downtime and high maintenance costs for equipment owners. 2.Product structure
A standard step seal is assembled from two core components including filled PTFE sliding seal ring and elastic rubber O-ring energizer. The rigid modified PTFE outer ring serves as the direct sealing contact part with the shaft surface, featuring low friction coefficient and outstanding wear resistance. The inner installed O-ring continuously generates radial pre-tightening force, pushing the PTFE ring to closely fit the sealing surface and automatically compensate for tiny abrasion during long-time reciprocating movement. Thanks to the rigid structure of PTFE, step seals can avoid being squeezed into the clearance between shaft and groove under ultra-high hydraulic pressure, realizing excellent anti-extrusion performance.
3.Material collocation from FOREVER SEALS
For general mineral hydraulic oil environments, carbon-filled PTFE matches NBR O-rings with affordable cost to satisfy conventional equipment daily operation needs. For high-temperature, anti-fuel or chemical hydraulic oil working scenes, glass-filled PTFE is paired with FKM fluorine rubber O-rings, and the finished product can stably work within the temperature range from minus 30 degrees Celsius to 200 degrees Celsius while bearing maximum working pressure up to 70MPa.

5.Installation notes
Operators need to polish all burrs and sharp corners of shaft and seal groove in advance and wipe away dust and metal debris before installation work starts. Workers should apply compatible silicone lubricant moderately on seal surface, and adopt tapered installation sleeve to prevent scratching thin PTFE sliding layer during assembly process.
