NOK Style LBI Wiper Seal, Non-Metal Hydraulic Cylinder Scraper
1. Product Overview
LBI wiper seal is a popular double-lip PU dust seal for hydraulic piston rods, originally designed by NOK. It is installed in the end cap groove of hydraulic cylinders to block external contaminants and protect internal sealing systems.
Unlike single lip dust scrapers, the LBI profile features dual lips. The outer scraping lip efficiently wipes dust, sand, mud and moisture off reciprocating piston rods. The inner retaining lip keeps a thin layer of lubricating oil film on the rod surface, preventing dry friction and extending service life of the main rod seal.
Made of solid PU/TPU without metal insert, LBI wiper can be manually pressed into the standard groove without special installation tools, greatly simplifying assembly and maintenance.

- LBI: Double lip PU wiper, retains oil film, better wear resistance, for heavy dust medium working condition
- LBH: NBR rubber wiper, simple scraping function, lower abrasion resistance
5. Notes for Selection
- LBI PU material is not suitable for strong acid, alkali, hot water or polar solvent environment.
- For heavy mud and extreme harsh site, metal skeleton DKBI wiper seal is recommended instead of LBI.
- Groove corner chamfer R≥0.4mm to prevent cutting seal lip during installation.
