Key Features & Benefits
Color-Coded Identification: Brown color enables quick recognition and prevents mixing with standard black NBR seals.
Excellent Oil & Grease Resistance: Suitable for petroleum-based lubricants, hydraulic oils, and greases.
Good Mechanical Strength: High tensile strength and abrasion resistance for reliable performance.
Temperature Range: -30°C to +100°C (short-term peaks up to 120°C).
Cost-Effective: Economical NBR material without compromising sealing quality.
Wide Size Range: Available in metric and inch sizes, including TC, TB, TCN profiles.
Working Principle
Like all rotary shaft seals, the Brown NBR Oil Seal uses a spring-loaded sealing lip to maintain contact with the rotating shaft. The garter spring provides consistent radial force, ensuring a tight seal under varying pressures. A thin lubricant film between the lip and shaft reduces friction and heat. The NBR compound offers good resilience, allowing the lip to adapt to minor shaft imperfections. The outer metal case is press-fitted into the housing, and the rubber coating provides a static seal.

Typical Applications
Equipment where OEM specifies a brown seal for identification
Assembly lines with multiple seal types to prevent mismatches
Aftermarket repairs where color-coded parts simplify inventory
Industrial machinery requiring quick visual inspection
Pumps, motors, and gearboxes with color-coded maintenance schedules
Installation & Maintenance
Verify shaft condition: smooth, free from scratches, hardness 45–60 HRC.
Lubricate the sealing lip with compatible grease before installation.
Press the seal evenly into the housing using a flat tool.
Ensure the lip is not twisted or damaged during assembly.
Inspect periodically for leakage or wear; replace as needed.
Why Choose Brown NBR?
While standard black NBR seals are interchangeable in performance, the brown color offers a practical advantage in environments where color-coding is part of the maintenance protocol. It helps technicians quickly identify the correct part, reducing downtime and errors. For customers who value organization and efficiency, the brown NBR seal is a smart choice.
