    1. Material and Characteristics

    • Material: Phenolic resin + wood powder/asbestos filler, cured at high temperature and pressure, cannot be melted again.
    • Core Performance
      • Heat Resistance: No deformation at 150–200℃ for a long time, far superior to ordinary plastics (60–120℃).
      • Insulation: Non-conductive, suitable for the operation of electrical tools and live equipment.
      • Environmental Resistance: Oil-resistant, acid-alkali-resistant and moisture-proof, durable in harsh environments.
      • High Hardness: Smooth and wear-resistant surface, comfortable to hold.
    • Disadvantages: High brittleness, fear of heavy impact, poor elasticity.

    2. Specifications and Models (JB/T 7271.1)

    • Types
      • Type A: No metal insert, bakelite thread, low cost.
      • Type B: Embedded with brass/iron thread, high strength, detachable and reusable.
    • Common Sizes (Thread × Ball Diameter): M6×20, M8×25, M10×32, M12×40, M16×50.
    • Colors: Standard black, bright red, industrial blue, orange, milk white; black/red are the most commonly used.

    3. Main Applications

    • Industrial Machinery: Adjustment knobs and handles for machine tools, combined machine tools and woodworking machinery.
    • High-Temperature Equipment: Handles for electric soldering irons, electric welding machines, ovens, boilers and heat treatment equipment.
    • Valves and Pipes: Operation heads for plumbing, gas and industrial valves.
    • Electrical Tools: Non-slip grips for screwdrivers, wrenches and insulated pliers.

    5. Selection Suggestions

    1. High-temperature/insulation scenarios: Prioritize Type B bakelite handle ball (metal insert is more durable).
    2. Normal temperature and low load: Type A or ordinary plastic models can be selected to control costs.
    3. Thread specification: Choose M6–M16 according to the equipment shaft diameter, and the ball diameter matches the holding space.
    4. Color: Black is universal, and red is used for emergency/safety operations.
